The Operation Smile Shamrock Final Mile is the culmination of an ongoing global education program and a running/walking program for elementary school children. By participating in the Operation Smile Shamrock Final Mile, students learn about the importance of developing lifelong fitness habits as well the impact they can have in bettering the lives of children who are growing up in developing countries with cleft conditions.
As you train for Shamrock Marathon race weekend, we challenge you to rally your community and help provide surgeries for Operation Smile’s patients born with cleft lip and cleft palate worldwide.
Whether you are running in the Final Mile, 8k, half marathon, or full marathon, we encourage each runner to set a fundraising goal of at least $240; as each surgery can cost as little as $240, our Miles for Smiles running team has the potential to help many people live healthier and happier lives!
Thanks to everyone for your energy and support, and let’s Shamrock On!
